My 285 doubled, or even better, in ALL my games. I am just saying that charter is way off. at AA Gx2 doesnt take the turns very well, still not a bad card. I just got my gtx 285 and I say, NO WAY IN EARTH GX2 wins over an 285! as it says on that charter. I have one in my system right now, but it is only being used for cuda, physx, folding, etc. The 9800gx2 is still a best of a card, and tends to fall in between a gtx 280 and gtx 285 at stock clocks, that is not counting over clocking. But as far as a single gpu 260 taking on a 9800 hx2, i don't see it happening, and even if the game has no sli support, it's probably not that graphical and your going to get phenomenal frames rates, even if you was running on 8800gts. Now gtx 260's in sli would be a different story all together. And 8 out of ten times, it's in the top 3. That is not completely accurate here is another screen showing exactly what i mean, just google revies on gtx 260, 280, 285, they normally throw in 9800 gx2's. Oh, and an EVGA personell was telling this in another thread. But also remember all the problems with it, and the Sli micro stuttering.įor all you who say otherwice: try the same setup but exchange the graphic card between the two, and play at 16x AA and you WILL see a huge difference. But if you are playing at a small screen gx2 would win. At high AA, high resolution, where the perfomance really kicks in, the GTX 260/216 will beat the living crap out of that GX2.
